Armenian sheep (Ovis orientalis gmelini) are located in the Northwest area of Iran. This small wild sheep are a light reddish color with their faces being creme colored. The males often have a faint white spot on their flank.
Both males and females have horns. While the males have horns that can grow to quite impressive size, the females horns are usually less then five inches in length. A large male can weigh up towards 100 lbs, females are smaller at about 50 lbs.
